In her free time, Thelma enjoys making 3-D fiber art inspired by food, flowers, fauna, and funky patterns. Through this creative work, she seeks to appreciate ordinary objects in interesting and fuzzy ways. Her pieces have supported fundraising for the Iowa City Public Library (Arts and Crafts Bazaar 2023), The Englert Theater (Mission Creek Festival 2024), and the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.
